About the role
Our growing team is looking for a bilingual Manager, Human Resources. The incumbent of this position will collaborate with executives and managers from various departments of the company including the IT group.
As a strategic partner, the HR Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Human Resources advisors and business partners and ensuring their professional development. They will also be involved in different HR cycles and projects such as culture of development, talent management and performance management.
What you’ll do here:
- Exercise strong leadership and influence at various levels of the organization.
- Make decisions regarding hiring, performance management, career development and promotion, departure management as well as support for organizational development.
- Apply your knowledge of HR best practices to guide decision-making.
- Supervise, evaluate and develop a team of human resources professionals and contribute to maintaining and improving employee engagement, both in human resources and for the organization.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to monitor objectives and monitor trends to develop human resources strategies that will promote the achievement of business results.
- Monitor human resources-related indicators in your area of responsibility. Collaborate with other HR managers and employees to design, implement and improve core HR functions and programs. Stay abreast of trends within the industry and HR field and make appropriate recommendations.
- Provide advice on performance management of the business units under your responsibility to identify and manage employees whose performance is above expectations or insufficient, in partnership with internal and external experts. As necessary, develop a problem resolution strategy for employee complaints and serious employee relations issues.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures and programs. Recommend changes based on internal trends and competitive benchmarking. Act as the company's expert on employee relations and compliance.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team on recruitment strategies for the business units under their responsibility.
- Actively contribute to all special projects, as needed.
- The position may require occasional travel.
What you bring to the table :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant professional designation.
- At least 10 years of experience in HR positions of increasing responsibility, including at least 7 years of experience as an HR generalist.
- 3 years’ experience in people management, a strong asset.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Results and solution oriented.
- Ability to influence others through convincing speeches and concise, precise and clear written communication which is essential to success.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and high precision.
- Bilingualism is required (French - English), You will interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
