Salary Range: $7,755-$10,080 Monthly

The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Branch, is seeking a dynamic and assertive individual to fill the role of Manager of Health Standards. This position will be located in Regina. In this role, you will coach, mentor and provide direction to a dedicated team in the Radiation Safety and Occupational Hygiene Units. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating program delivery, overall management of staff in these units, and preparing and monitoring the unit's budget, as well as being an active part of the Branch's management team.

The successful candidate will have experience that enables them to manage the enforcement of, and develop and advise the Director of Health Standards, on amendments, policies, procedures, and education relating to occupational hygiene and radiation safety in Part III and Part V of The Saskatchewan Employment Act, The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 2020, and The Radiation Safety Regulations, 2024. The successful candidate coordinates advice from technical leads to the Director of Health Standards and Ministry Executives on all radiation safety and occupational hygiene matters. The position participates in and contributes to key decision-making, policy creation and strategic planning that has a direct impact on operational procedures followed by all branch employees and that may have provincial and/or national impact related to radiation safety or occupational hygiene. Additionally, the position represents the Ministry on various provincial and national committees and in liaising, mediating or negotiating with employer, supplier and worker organizations and inter-provincial government bodies to ensure that Saskatchewan occupational hygiene and radiation safety issues with the Branch's mandate are adequately addressed.

The ideal candidate will bring the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position, obtained through the completion of a relevant graduate degree in the physical sciences, combined with management experience, as well as experience in occupational health and safety or other related regulatory experience. A valid driver's license is required.
