Position Summary

At League, our mission is to help people live healthier, happier lives. As a Manager, Health Content Copywriter, you’ll be responsible for writing and managing a portfolio of health-related programs, activities, and other content within the League Health Journey that helps people do just that by making meaningful changes to their well-being. Our content gives members the tools they need to move more, eat better, understand their chronic conditions, and communicate effectively with their healthcare team. This role will be highly collaborative within the Health Solutions, Product Management, and Engagement teams. In addition, this role will work on multimedia programs that use audio and video to share health insights. This role will also support freelance production of programs as needed.

In this role, you will:

Content creation

  • Research, write, and edit evidence-based content that helps people adopt better habits for their health
  • Create assignment briefs and manage work of freelance writers
  • Update existing content to integrate new product capabilities
  • Adhere to League’s voice and style. Our content is approachable, accessible, and credible.
  • Use data on member engagement to help inform editorial strategy as needed
  • Oversee production of audio and video content, working as project manager overseeing freelance audio and video creators.
  • Create a stream of A/V programs that connect to new and established customers, adapting works to feedback, requests, and input.
  • Establish workflows, practices, and repeatable methods for Health Solutions staff to use League-approved Gen-AI tools to produce program and campaign content, including clinical review, as needed and/or requested.
  • Support with editing, (copywriting/copyediting) and review/revision as needed.

Supporting customers

  • Work closely with colleagues to develop and present content with customers and/or prospective customers
  • Collaborate with colleagues on custom content that meets customer needs

About you:

  • Minimum 2-3+ years in researching and writing or editing; experience with healthcare, benefits, or mental health content preferred
  • BA or MA/MS in English, journalism, or communications, or equivalent experience
  • Adept at translating complex medical jargon into conversational language
  • Familiarity with best practices in creating digital content for an audience with varying levels of health literacy
  • Fastidious attention to accuracy, with experience vetting sources for credibility
  • Able to adapt written voice for different clients’ specification
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-performance, fast-paced organization
  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision

A bonus would be:

  • Bilingual French and/or Spanish
  • Experience with AP Style
  • Working technical knowledge of Behavior Change Theory and its applicable use

Security-Related Responsibilities

  • Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee's role and responsibilities
  • Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures within the department/ team
  • Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations
  • Compliance with Information Security Policies

Compensation range for Canada applicants only

$77,400 - $116,200 CAD
