Position Overview:
Are you a dynamic and experienced marketer with a passion for impactful multi-channel campaigns and events? We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Go-to-Market (GTM) and Events to join our vibrant marketing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead end-to-end campaign management, from strategy to execution, including partner and stakeholder management and performance analysis. You will spearhead marketing campaigns and programs targeting B2C and B2B audiences designed to create awareness, generate leads, and deepen client engagement.
You excel at conceptualizing and executing events, including hosted client engagements, tradeshows, and sponsored activities, which effectively captivate and connect with new audiences. You are hands-on and proactive, creating and managing campaigns and events that inspire action. With a strong focus on measurement and analytics, you delve into KPIs to ensure marketing programs achieve business objectives. You are adept at advocating for focused go-to-market plans and translating internal stakeholder requests into clear marketing objectives and actionable plans. You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, consistently demonstrating a growth mindset to contribute positively to our overall success.
The Role:
- Develop integrated, omni-channel campaign strategies and GTM plans across all channels including but not limited to digital & social media, email, traditional media and events that drive full-funnel activity.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to understand new initiatives, product launches, and expanded service offerings, and turn them into integrated marketing plans to drive the desired business results.
- Lead marketing activities that directly support our Growth (Sales) team with sales enablement and value-add communication tactics, enabling them to engage Plan Sponsors (B2B) and their end users (B2B2C) with compelling marketing materials.
- Write clear and accurate marketing briefs to outline all deliverables and objectives for agency partners and internal creative & content team(s).
- Identify and evaluate events, tradeshows, and sponsorship opportunities for both B2C and B2B audiences to drive Medcan awareness and lead generation for priority segments and related products.
- Plan and manage events while working with the Growth (Sales) team to ensure excellent client experiences, including pre/post-event engagement, on-site logistics, branding, lead generation, managing vendors and media relationships.
- Establish and implement meaningful campaigns to deepen relationships with existing B2C, B2B, and B2B2C clients, including lifecycle management, cross-sell, up-sell, retention, and loyalty strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, agency partners, external vendors, and industry professionals.
- Oversee all elements of Medcan’s charitable and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, including in-kind donations, silent auctions, and collaborations with strategic partners that align to Medcan’s commitment to helping Canadians live well, for life.
- Effectively use project management tools to develop timelines, track deliverables, manage resources and stakeholders, and meet in-market dates.
- Manage and mentor a direct report handling campaign execution, event logistics, performance reporting, and campaign operations/administration.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business (marketing and/or communications focus preferred) or other relevant areas of study.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive work experience with a focus on marketing communications and/or event management; experience in the health & wellbeing and/or employee benefits industry is an asset.
- Extensive experience in managing programs tailored for B2B audiences is an asset.
- Significant depth of knowledge and proven experience in marketing and multi-channel communications, and measurement for both B2C and B2B audiences.
- Proven expertise in lead management best practices, and a thorough understanding of the workflow required to capture, convert, and measure leads aligned with business objectives and financial metrics.
- Strong business acumen, including Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Project Management, and Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners, able to lead and influence others to drive projects to completion.
- Strong preference for proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, and Asana (or equivalent) and experience working with reporting and analytics tools such as Salesforce, Power BI.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week based on business needs between regular office hours Monday – Saturday (9 AM - 5 PM). Our downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St., which is nearby Osgoode and St. Andrew stations or a 10-minute walk from Union Station.
