About Our Opportunity
As the Manager, Financial Advisory Services, you will provide sound, timely financial advice to the Department of Public Works.

As the Manager, Financial Advisory Services, you will report to the Director, Financial Advisory Services.
This competition may be used to fill both current and future vacancies/opportunities with Finance and Treasury Board.
Qualifications And Experience
This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a bachelor's degree from a related discipline, plus several years of progressive financial management and supervisory experience. An acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, CA) is required.
As the ideal candidate, you have solid experience in budget development and business planning, forecasting; the ability to provide sound strategic financial and budgetary advice to senior members of the department; experience in providing sound financial advice to various stakeholder groups; effective leadership skills and experience creating, developing, and working in a team environment and be well organized to meet a demanding workload.
You have experience dealing with complex, contentious and sensitive issues in a public forum; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical skills, tact and diplomacy; capacity for decisive action and the ability to influence others; the ability to manage multiple demands and interruptions in a challenging, deadline driven environment; as well as working both independently and collaboratively with all levels of management, staff, and other stakeholder groups.
