Job description

1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a Database Marketing & CRM Manager who will be responsible for driving goals & objectives in support of our marketing strategies and plans to achieve retention targets.

In this high-priority role, you'll lead our customer retention efforts for the Franchise System, driving personalized email and SMS campaigns to boost repeat business. As head of a skilled team, you’ll shape and execute a database marketing strategy aligned with our customer retention roadmap. This is a unique opportunity to influence a critical, growing area and make a lasting impact on customer loyalty through targeted, data-driven marketing. We're seeking a strategic, hands-on leader passionate about building customer relationships and driving results.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Drives and plans database marketing strategies in support of our residential acquisition & retention strategies.
  • Collaborate to identify, design and prioritize Database Marketing & CRM opportunities across sales, service, and marketing.
  • Partners with the Marketing Technology Manager, Database Marketing Developer, Integrated Marketing, and other requesters across the business and creative to develop automated email and SMS campaigns to prioritize the highest value opportunities to drive residential goals.
  • Ensure legal and compliance risks are managed within all programs across our key markets in the US, Canada, and Australia.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Technology Manager, BI, and analytics teams to measure channel performance, and leverages customer insights & analysis in order to optimize programs and inform marketing strategies. Monitors and reports on overall Database Marketing performance; as well as system-wide & related franchise-level campaign performance when applicable.
  • Leads a team of database marketing specialists and a coordinator, supporting with training and development as needed, and executes development plans for each team member. Provides input into hiring, promotion, and performance for direct reports.
  • Strengthens ways of working and processes to improve efficiency & productivity.
  • Exercises strong accountability and oversight of marketing investments related to strategies and programs.
  • Brand support accountability for incidents related to customer communications.
  • Shares best practices, industry trends, and new innovations within and across our business.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Proven experience leading and executing database marketing strategies in multi-channel environments.
  • Experience leading automated, dynamic, and segmented retention database marketing campaigns utilizing models like RFM, clustering, etc.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with marketing stakeholders and other teams.
  • Results-driven and proficient in managing performance metrics related to Database Marketing investments and campaigns.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in database marketing programs.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a strong asset.
  • Experience presenting results and sharing project updates through various forums.
  • Self-starter, naturally curious and a problem-solver.
  • Exceptional leadership, motivating and inspiring a team of marketing professionals toward the achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Continuous learner who loves staying on top of the latest database marketing innovations and trends.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary $85,000 - $115,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).

  • Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.
