What is the opportunity?

As Manager Data Analytics and Forecasting with the Wealth Management (WM) Finance - Performance Management team, you will help the team provide insightful financial analytics and management presentations for senior Finance and Wealth Management Executives and improve financial governance. Reporting to the Director WM Finance - Performance Management, this position will undertake streamlining and automation of existing data collection and reporting processes as well as advisory & analytics, forecasting, planning and analysis for the WM business and produce reporting packages that will be distributed to Senior Management.

What will you do?

  • Assist with integrated drivers-based analytics efforts across the WM Platform with a focus on key performance metrics (financial and non-financial) related to the WM industry.
  • Management of Metadata supporting performance analytics.
  • Manage end to end data lineage into SQL server including source system data cleansing, automation, connection, etc.
  • Optimize database design to maximize server performance.
  • Develop materials and support training workshops to build awareness of leveraging performance analytics dashboards and tools.
  • Participate in the FP&A process for Wealth Management globally, including periodic forecasts, estimates, annual planning, and 5-year planning. Create performance reports of the Wealth Management (WM) platform, including summary forecast financials, business unit analyses, commentaries, performance metrics, and trend analyses.
  • Responsible for reporting of actual results and forecasting as well as advisory for certain WM business units.
  • Support the WM PM team with preparing monthly and quarterly operating results packages to the WM Operating Committee and quarterly business review packages for senior management.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and optimize processes to enhance WM Performance Management effectiveness.
  • Own/support ad hoc projects/initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis/engineering, financial modelling and data visualization tools.
  • Expert in SQL, Python, MS Access, VBA, data cleansing, data modeling, database design, automation.
  • Strong data analysis capability and ability to translate large volumes of data into usable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word), Data360, Alteryx, Tableau and ThinkCell.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline or Finance/Accounting/Business.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and independent worker with a solutions-driven mind-set.

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of or experience in the wealth management/asset management industry or the broader financial services industry.
