Deutsche Bahn International Operations GmbH is a part of the DB group, a world-leading global railway company with an extensive organization in Germany and projects around the world. Our company offers a technically sophisticated and customized infrastructure, mobility and transport solutions. We acquire, initiate and manage rail operations and maintenance projects outside Europe.

We are looking for you as a Manager Customer Projects (f/m/x) for an upcoming project of DB International Operations in Canada.

Join us to develop the future of North American rail travel and create a unique lighthouse project. The project on the East Coast entails developing operation and maintenance of a new railway corridor to enhance public transport in the region. We are looking for transport and mobility enthusiasts with long-standing experience in railway operations and projects in Canada or worldwide to be part of this unique project in case of contract award.

Your Tasks:

  • Report to the head customer management.
  • Manage projects from conceptualization to completion.
  • Support the validation of the train service and customer proposition plan with the authority.
  • Support the submission of required documents to the authority as described in the customer proposition plan and in the initial train service and customer proposition development plan.
  • Support working relationships to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the assessment of assets and processes.
  • Conduct shadow operator activities to ensure the operational needs and customer expectations are met.
  • Conduct cost estimation and calculation for Customer Proposition activities during the operational phase.
  • Conduct requirement management of customer proposition systems to support IT development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in the project management or customer service area, ideally in passenger transportation.
  • University degree in Business Administration or appropriate higher education of minimum 3 years or comparable work experience.
  • Proved success record of delivery in “startup” or other environment where ambiguity needs to be managed and tangible results delivered.
  • Strong familiarity with IT systems supporting operations.
  • Experience in requirements management, business process management, and cost calculation.
  • Very good MS Office skills.
  • Fluent in English, including writing and presenting information in the appropriate formats to various stakeholders. French is a plus.
