About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Director, Finance & Treasury, the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Treasury is responsible for assisting the OEG Finance team with the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all financial reporting and bank compliance requirements. The role will supervise and mentor a team responsible for corporate accounting and accounts payable functions. Responsibilities include managing the accounts payable process, supporting budget preparation, financial planning & analysis, and providing analytical support for monthly and annual financial reporting.

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Support all OEG companies’ books, records and financial reporting including internal Financial Statements and external reporting.
  • Manage transaction processing of day-to-day cash management requirements.
  • Perform an integral role in the monthly close process.
  • Prepare cash-flow forecasts to ensure adequate cash flow.
  • Assist with the financial planning and analysis for both short-term and long-term forecasts.
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audit.
  • Support annual budget preparation for OEG and its affiliated entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of all vendors.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely resolution of delinquent accounts.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of improvements to internal processes.
  • Maintain accounting controls by supporting Finance Department policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Accounting Diploma or Degree required.
  • Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) Designation is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience with bank compliance and reporting.
  • Treasury-related experience is an asset.
  • Experience with IFRS is an asset.
  • Detail-focused with strong business acumen.
  • Experience with computerized accounting software and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
