Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic Enterprise Procurement Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end contract lifecycle management for a portfolio of Supply Chain and Transportation contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and maximizing value for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting & Negotiation:

  1. Lead the development, drafting, and negotiation of various contracts, including but not limited to: transportation services, warehousing, logistics, freight forwarding, and other supply chain related agreements.
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Finance, Operations) and external vendors to ensure alignment on contract terms and conditions.
  3. Analyze and mitigate contractual risks, proposing alternative solutions and achieving favorable outcomes.

Contract Administration:

  1. Manage a high volume of contracts, ensuring timely renewals, amendments, and terminations. Develop and maintain comprehensive contract records and documentation within the contract management system.
  2. Monitor contract performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for improvement.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  1. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  2. Conduct regular contract audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Develop and deliver training programs to internal stakeholders on contract management best practices.

Stakeholder Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  2. Proactively communicate contract status updates and address any concerns.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of proven experience in contract management, preferably within a Supply Chain or Transportation industry.
  3. Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk management principles.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
  7. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification is a plus.
  8. Knowledge of Information Technology contracts is an asset for this role.
