The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards, you will oversee the Compensation function, supporting various programs across AGI. This position will focus on three key areas:
- Total Rewards Initiatives (compensation structure, variable compensation plan, annual compensation processes, job evaluations, market pricing,).
- HR Analytics (data integrity, reporting, dashboards, audits, process improvements)
- HRIS Initiatives (configuration, integration and maintenance of various modules within our HRIS).
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role will encompass 4 major areas including Total Rewards initiatives, HR Analytics, HRIS initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
Total Rewards Initiatives
- Compensation Programs – Lead the design, development and implementation of our compensation programs (global compensation structure, job evaluation framework, short-term incentive plans, sales incentive plans, and long-term incentive plans).
- Market Research - Complete various industry and human capital surveys, keeping up to date on various HR best practices and labour statistics, and offering critical insights to workforce trends.
- Market Pricing - Complete market benchmarking of positions through compensation surveys and provide compensation recommendations aligned to our total rewards philosophy.
- Job Evaluation – Manage the job evaluation and job analysis process, including evaluationg of benchmark and new jobs, adherence to local and regional pay equity laws, and regular reporting on job evaluation risks
- Annual Compensation Processes – End-to-end support of our annual compensation processes (e.g., year-end incentive and merit processes, salary planning surveys, long-term incentive grants).
HR Analytics
- HR Reporting – Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports and dashboards, summarizing key data elements from various sources of information, benchmarking to market best practices, and presenting and explaining findings to management.
- Workforce Reporting – Compile data, generate reports, and analyze information around workforce trends (headcount, turnover, demographics, etc.).
- Data Governance – Ensure data within our HRIS is accurate and complete by regularly auditing the information and updating through data imports.
- Process Improvement – Based on metrics and analysis, make recommendations for Compensation related policies and activities to improve the organization (e.g., data integrity, governance around our processes, legislative compliance, etc.).
- Audits - Complete various Compensation related data and process audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, data privacy, employment laws and regulations and best practices.
HRIS Initiatives
- Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting – Prepare and automate reports and dashboards, through BI. Leverage BI to maintain data integrity through file imports, mass audits, etc.
- Compensation – Leverage the compensation module for annual processes (incentive and merit); maintain compensation data within the module.
- Integrations – Support the integration of reports, files, feeds, processes between the HRIS and 3rd party platforms where applicable.
Stakeholders
- While this position reports directly to the Sr. Director, Total Rewards, this position will work closely with and take direction on work from the Sr. Manager, NA Payroll & HRIS.
- This position will also interact with and support other internal and external stakeholders, including SVP HR, HR Business Partners, Payroll team, HRIS vendor, compensation consultants, and 3rd party vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- A certification in Compensation (CCP), Benefits (CEBS, GBA), or HR (CHRL/CHRP/SHRM-CP/PHR) would be an asset.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, or HR Analytics.
- Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group / Ultipro) HRIS preferred.
- Experience with administering total rewards programs (preferably compensation).
- Strong data and analytical skills (data management, data integrity, data quality, reporting, business intelligence).
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on data integrity / data quality.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills (sense of urgency, action oriented, creativity, governance, due diligence).
- Advanced – Microsoft Excel
- Advanced – HRIS (preferably UKG)
- Intermediate – Business Intelligence reporting (through HRIS, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
- Intermediate – Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word
