Are you passionate about the insurance industry and keen to help shape its future? Our small-but-mighty team at the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) is currently accepting applications for the newly created position of Manager, Broker Development.
While we’d love for you to join us at our Regina office, we’re open to a remote work arrangement for the right candidate — provided you’re based in Saskatchewan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the creation and maintenance of educational courses and resources tailored to industry needs.
- Coordinate engaging and impactful learning experiences to support the professional growth of IBAS member brokers.
- Take the lead on the rollout of the new IBAS Indigenous Broker Development Program.
- Mentor under and work alongside longtime IBAS trainer Todd Hochban to gradually transition into an instructor role for the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program.
- Promote the insurance broker profession as a modern, rewarding, first-choice career pathway.
- Oversee the activities of the IBAS Emerging Brokers Council, fostering the next generation of brokerage leaders.
- Develop materials to support IBAS members in educating insurance consumers.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Has robust experience in the Saskatchewan insurance industry — earned working in either a brokerage or carrier setting.
- Has completed the educational requisites for a CAIB designation (or a CIP designation and is willing to complete all four CAIB modules within one year).
- Is a clear and confident communicator who can inspire and connect with diverse audiences.
Worried you might not be experienced enough but are still driven to succeed in this role? Put your name forward! A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset are the only non-negotiables.
