Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the Manager of Air Canada Foundation Programs and Operations oversees high impact and higher risk signature partnerships of the Air Canada Foundation as well as the key governing process between Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation. They're responsible for tactfully managing internal and external relationships, evolving long-standing partnerships that have complex dynamics and strategically planning and executing integration opportunities as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and lead Air Canada Foundation Programs, day to day operations, standard operating procedures, contracts, partnership audits, and continuous development, creating growth and sustainability strategies for:
    • Hospital Transportation Program
    • Every Bit Counts
    • Employee giving
  2. Lead and oversee key partnerships including, hospital partners and Canada's Children's Hospital Foundation.
  3. Working with all internal and external stakeholders to increase awareness of the Air Canada Foundation while having a holistic and integrated approach within Air Canada.
  4. Managing staff in the delivery of processes and strategic delivery with the Air Canada Foundation board of directors.
  5. Effectively communicate with the board of directors to keep them apprised of ongoing activity, ensuring that governing laws are followed:
    • Board of director meetings
    • Quarterly reports
    • Resolutions
    • Banking: deposits, reconciliations, accuracy of transactions, and financial safeguards
  6. Audit; Oversight of Air Canada Foundation team's practices as it relates to the Financial Audit, including management of staff working on audit materials, overseeing accuracy.
  7. Lead staff in financial activity, investments, reporting, and budgets.
  8. Overseeing staff to deliver reporting on successes, challenges, and evolutions of signature programs for a variety of stakeholders.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in a relevant field

5 - 7 years' experience working with non-profit partners and/or in grant-making relationships.

Exceptional written and spoken communication skills

Bilingual in English and French

Outstanding organization, project management, and planning skills with strong attention to detail.

Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with strict deadlines.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office;

Experience working in complex and highly matrixed organizations is considered an asset;

Discretion and tact;

Availability to work flexible hours, on occasion;

Ability to work without immediate and constant supervision;

Ability to work well under pressure and to determine priorities to meet deadlines.

Conditions of Employment:
