At Aramark, we are looking for the most promising graduate students to join our Management Trainee Program.

This program is designed to provide recent college and/or university graduates with the resources they need to reach their full potential and prepare them for an accelerated career path to a leadership role within our organization. Our Program offers flexibility and commitment to your professional development.

During the program, participants receive career guidance, real hands-on training and people management experiences. By managing the day-to-day operations of a client account or one of our many business units, grads develop real business and leadership know-how. We give them the opportunity to network with peers and grow both personally and professionally, all while exposing them to diverse cultures in our many accounts across the country.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute to your own success.
  • Apply learnings from the program to improve & support operations at the account.
  • Exhibit a "can-do" attitude in encountering challenges and seek support from others when required.
  • Communicate regularly with assigned managers and support staff on your progress.
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in multi-tasking while being able to prioritize tasks and showcase ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager whenever his/her skill and/or experience would be vital to initiate, coordinate, or complete any given program.
  • Be able to work occasional night and weekend catered events.
  • Attend meetings with staff and promote good public relations.
  • Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc).

Qualifications

  • Must read, write and speak English with proficiency.
  • Recent graduate of a recognized hospitality program from an accredited college or university in Canada.
  • Some hospitality, food & beverage operations experience either through internships or seasonal work.
  • Above average competency with Microsoft Office software including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel on short term assignments and relocate anywhere across BC and Alberta.
