Job Description

Our client, a world leader in the supply of products for the manufacturing of corrugated plastic pipe, requires a Maintenance Technician. Their products are used in fluid and process applications in end markets such as: industrial, medical, automotive, and agriculture.

Day Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshooting, testing, repairing preventative maintenance, and servicing CNC equipment related to all in-house manufacturing.
  2. Managing on-site installation, repair, maintenance of the building and its property.
  3. Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions for all CNC and non-CNC manufacturing equipment.
  4. Producing detailed service reports.
  5. Documenting processes.
  6. Operating vehicles and machinery in a safe manner, including lift trucks and cranes.
  7. Cooperating with technical teams and sharing information across the organization.
  8. Making appropriate recommendations and briefing on repairs, diagnostics, and equipment specifications as well as specifications for new equipment.
  9. Building positive relationships with team members.

Requirements:

  1. Proven working experience as a Maintenance Technician.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting/repair of CNC machines highly desired.
  3. 433A Millwright license is an asset but not required.
  4. Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and minor electrical problems.
  5. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations of engineering and installation drawings for buildings.
  6. MS Office skills, especially Excel and Word.
  7. Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  8. Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
  9. Project management and supervision skills.
  10. Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
  11. Time management and organization skills.
  12. Must have own tools.
  13. Must have the ability to work off normal hours during equipment breakdown situations.
  14. Must be fluent in English – Reading and writing.
