What role you will play in our teamThe role of an Electrical Maintenance Technician at the Strathcona Refinery is to provide the functional, day-to-day maintenance support and surveillance of unit electrical equipment. The Electrical Maintenance Technician must master an effective working knowledge of safe work practices (both general operating unit safe work practices as well as electrical specific safe work practices). Their work may (or may not) be further specialized into sub-categories of low voltage, high voltage, power distribution, etc. Specialized electrical training is generally required to be a safe and effective Electrical Maintenance Technician. Strict adherence to Electrical Safety Best Practices is expected at all times to mitigate the potential risks from working on live voltage, arc flash, and other hazards associated with electrical equipment.
Imperial’s Strathcona refinery is located at 101 Baseline Road in Edmonton Alberta. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm with recognized holidays and Earned Days Off.
