Position:Maintenance Technician

Location:North America | CANADA | Brantford, ON

Pay Range:$23.00/hr - $42.00/hr depending on experience

We are currently hiring for aMaintenance Technicianat our facility in Brantford, ON. TheMaintenance Technicianwill be responsible for keeping the factory equipment and overall facility in optimal working and safe order.

*The Maintenance Technician position is a continuum with the opportunity for advancement beginning at Maintenance Technician-Entrance and progressing through Maintenance Technician-4 as skills are gained.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with minimal down time
  • Maintain electrical and mechanical reliability of bulk handling packaging lines
  • Troubleshoot
  • Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
  • Small capital projects
  • Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
  • As needed repairs to the facility interiors and other areas in separate from equipment

OE/Lean

  • Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Red Seal licensed Millwright (433A) with at least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry required
  • Exposure to packaging industry is preferable
