Maintenance Technician

Candidate will work representing the company at multiple client sites in the Ottawa area. Work orders are placed and prioritized daily, and travel is required from site to site. When no urgent work orders are requested, preventative maintenance at sites is required. Most of the role involves completing work orders for sites and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems equipment.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems, some electrical and plumbing systems, building interior / exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
• Perform scheduled facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
• Respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies and prioritize orders as required.
• Prepare and submit summary reports to management for each order.
• Perform other operational tasks as typically expected of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.

Minimum Qualifications

• HVAC certification / 313A license or Red Seal preferred.
• 10 years of work experience in a relevant field (HVAC technician / facilities services).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Proven experience with customer service as part of technician work.
• Experience in electrical, pneumatics, and construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent from a certified college.
• Red Seal Certification is an asset.
• Gasfitter I or II or Provincial equivalent is required.
• Must meet security clearance requirements as needed.

Work will be performed at client sites, primarily office buildings, some production facilities, or a mixture of multi-tenant buildings. All within the Greater Ottawa Area.

This is a Contract to Hire and long term permanent position with our client in Ottawa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00 / hr.
