The Maintenance team is responsible for ensuring all Hull Services buildings, property and grounds are well maintained and in safe and proper working order. This department is critical to the daily operation of our programs in which our employees work and children and youth live.

The Position:

We are looking for a temporary, full time Groundskeeper to support the maintenance team over the summer months from May to August 2025.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: 2266 Woodpark Ave. SW

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lawn care and maintenance
• Landscaping
• Regular maintenance of all lawn care machines & equipment
• Other maintenance related projects as required, e.g. painting, moving
• Weather depending, tasks related to building maintenance to aid the maintenance department

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with lawn care and landscaping preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of driving experience with a class 5 or class 5 GDL license and a clean driving history.
• High personal competence in the maintenance of positive relationships with colleagues, children and youth.
• Demonstrated interest, commitment, consistency, and a high level of personal maturity and responsibility.
• Ability to take initiatives and work independently and also as part of a team.
• Clear Police Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
• Other working conditions (e.g. may require some physical exertion and lifting up to 50 lbs.)
