Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for food processing and packaging machines such as pumps, mixers, fillers, cappers, labelers, sleevers, etc.

Salary: $41.00-$43.00/hr + Night Shift Premium + Dual Ticket Premium + Tool Allowance

Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic who is looking to join a full-time team in Hamilton! As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery. Responsibilities:

1. Interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine work procedures
2. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
3. Inspect and examine machinery, identifying irregularities and malfunctions
4. Adjust and repair machinery, replacing defective parts as needed
5. Operate machine tools to fabricate parts for machinery overhaul and maintenance
6. Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation
7. Troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment
8. Optimize equipment for safety, efficiency, and reliability
9. Comply with food safety, health and safety, and environmental procedures
10. Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on production and bakery equipment
11. Improve equipment function through design improvements
12. Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area

Qualifications

1. Industrial Millwright 433A license
2. 4-5 years of industrial mechanical experience
3. Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in the food industry or high-speed manufacturing environment
2. Valid driver's license
