Maintenance Mechanic (Food Industry)

Position: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary: $34 - $36 per hour

Industry: Manufacturing / Food / Skilled Trades

Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent

Shift: Afternoon

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Conducting all maintenance activities on plant equipment safely, ensuring cleanliness and optimal functionality, and adhering to GMP standards.
2. Conduct enhancements to equipment/systems, explore and evaluate new equipment, maintain comprehensive maintenance records, and ensure accessibility of all relevant information.
3. Completion and submission of required reports.
4. Additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. 5 years of maintenance experience in a related manufacturing environment.
2. Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred.
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good mechanical aptitude.
4. Able to report to an afternoon shift (3.00 PM - 11.00 PM).
5. Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
