MAINTENANCE AIDE

Position: Permanent Part Time, Weekend Shift 8am-3pm
Reports to the Environmental Services Manager

Southbridge Care Homes is looking for a Maintenance Aide who can function as a “resident advocate” for our London, ON location. On a daily basis, the Maintenance Aide will be responsible for specific operations related to mechanical, electrical, and maintenance departments. Our Maintenance Aide will be the first point of contact from the management side for our client’s concerns related to the facilities of the home.

As a Maintenance Aide, you will be accountable for…

1. Providing support in the maintenance department, painting operations of the home, general upkeep, as well as ensuring everything meets company standards.
2. Assisting with property maintenance including exterior duties such as snow removal, property lighting, garbage, and other general operations.
3. Performing other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

1. Post-Secondary Certificate in Skilled Trades or a related program, or a high level of experience.
2. One year or more of experience in a similar position with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical home operations.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work independently.
5. Ability to prioritize work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
