We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Helper to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in replacing and adjusting wearable parts as required.
2. Aid in replacing defective parts of machines or adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts.
3. Assist in aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and forklifts.
4. Assist in greasing and checking oil level on all machinery.
5. Assist in testing units to evaluate mechanical operation.
6. Support in repairing and lubricating machines and equipment.
7. Help in assembling and installing equipment using hand tools and power tools.
8. Assist in assembling machines and fastening them to foundations or other structures using hand tools and power tools.
9. Assist in constructing foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
10. Perform preventive maintenance procedures as instructed.
11. Assist the Maintenance Technician with mechanical repairs.
12. Assist with the installation of new equipment.
13. Follow plant lock-out procedures during repair or servicing.
14. Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Technician and Supervisor immediately.
15. Maintain housekeeping in the working area at all times.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of secondary school.
2. Experience in a plant or warehouse setting.
3. Forklift certificate is an asset.
4. Effective communication skills.
5. Reliable and dependable.
6. Positive attitude towards work.
7. Ability to work well under stress.
8. Capable of making decisions and problem-solving.
9. Ability to lift up to 25-45 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

1. Previous experience in a maintenance role or similar field.
2. Familiarity with additional software tools or systems used in inventory management.
