Description

The Role:

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and systems run smoothly with minimal disruption. Working closely with the maintenance team, you will manage the workflow of technicians, monitor the progress of ongoing tasks, and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changing priorities.

In addition to maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, you will collaborate with other departments to minimize production interruptions. You may also coordinate with external vendors, arrange equipment rentals or purchases.

The Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating maintenance tasks across various sites
  2. Assessing maintenance requests and determining their priority
  3. Communicating with staff and contractors to ensure tasks are completed on time
  4. Record keeping and documentation of all maintenance work
  5. Plan and schedule preventative maintenance work orders
  6. Coordinate with maintenance team and other stakeholders for scheduling and execution of tasks
  7. Ensure all maintenance activities are tracked and documented
  8. Respond and schedule to emergency maintenance requests as needed
  9. Communicate regularly with management about the status of maintenance activities through auditing
  10. Issue Purchase Orders after appropriate approvals

Skillset:

  1. A Maintenance Coordinator should possess an array of technical skills, organizational abilities, and communication skills to efficiently schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks, including strong organizational skills for planning and scheduling preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance tasks for various equipment and facilities.
  2. Technical knowledge of the equipment and machinery to be maintained to better understand their maintenance needs and schedules.
  3. Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other scheduling software for tracking and planning maintenance tasks.
  4. Excellent communication skills to clearly convey maintenance schedules to maintenance teams and to collaborate with other departments.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate potential maintenance issues and adjust schedules as required.
  6. Ability to analyze data and generate reports regarding maintenance schedules, completed tasks, and equipment conditions.
  7. Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards to ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to the required guidelines.
  8. Keen attention to detail to ensure that all maintenance tasks are scheduled and completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Coordinator or similar role
  2. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  3. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Proficiency in maintenance management software, Corrigo a plus
  6. High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in business administration, facility management or relevant field is a plus
