Machinist/Millwright (Day Shift)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $37-$43/hour + Benefits

About the Company:

Our client is a steel wire and bar manufacturer with over 45 years in business. They are expanding at a rapid rate and are looking to add an experienced Machinist/Millwright to their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance duties including handling breakdowns & troubleshooting of problems with production machinery
• Create drawings, source materials and fabricate/modify machine parts using Lathes and Milling machines
• Liaison with maintenance team to ensure that the plant production equipment functions with minimal downtime
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all safety precautions
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage their storage location
• Record maintenance activities and update log books
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess a strong background in operating mill/lathe machines
• Valid 433A Millwright license is considered to be a strong asset
• Prior experience working with steel is considered to be a strong asset
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings with the ability to replicate parts by analyzing old samples
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write in English
