Machine Tool Builder

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team as we are actively recruiting for a Machine Tool Builder responsible for the building of tools and machines to drawing specifications, utilizing work instructions and part lists. This position reports to a Build Group Leader.

What we’re looking for

• Build precision in-process tooling, machine tool subassemblies and components (bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together) with experience using manual and numerically controlled metal-cutting machines and equipment including lathes, mills, saws, grinders, and drills.
• Assemble fixtures and integrate subassemblies into custom machines to drawing specification.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and machine-tool building assembly documentation.

What you need to succeed

• Secondary School Diploma.
• Mold assembly, tool assembly or maintenance experience required.
• General Machinist Red Seal, Industrial Mechanic Millwright Red Seal, an asset.
• Ability to read drawings required.
• Must have mill, lathe machining and fabrication experience.
• A solid understanding of the functionality of welding and metal working equipment an asset.
• Must be able to travel within Canada, to USA and Mexico.

Wage Range: $25.00-$33.00 hourly.
