The Stretcher Operator is responsible to keep the stretcher running in good working order and oversee the products on the line to ensure production of good quality parts.
Job Responsibilities
Set up machinery and ensure all required materials are readily available.
Run the stretcher in sequence of the job orders.
Stretch aluminum extrusions to keep them straight and twist free.
Check quality of dimensions and flatness to ensure extrusion is not over stretched.
Monitor all operations on the line to ensure that parts are produced to customer specification.
Monitor the products and report any machine issue to the supervisor and maintenance team in a timely manner.
Communicate with saw operators of any concerns regarding dimensions and finish.
Meet daily targets for schedule adherence, activation, etc.
Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times.
Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies.
Qualification Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a machine operator capacity.
Previous experience as an extrusion stretcher operator is an asset.
Skills Required
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in extrusion or similar manufacturing environment is an asset.
