Senior Corporate Paralegal - Montreal Office

We are on the lookout for a Senior Corporate Paralegal to become an integral part of our Corporate Services team. The ideal candidate will be a self-assured professional with a track record of meticulous drafting abilities, acute attention to detail, and robust interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide support in transactional matters, such as M&A and corporate/tax reorganizations.
  2. Draft and manage corporate documents, including but not limited to incorporations, organizations, amendments, and dissolutions.
  3. Coordinate and oversee the generation of annual return packages, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  4. Handle the preparation and submission of extra-provincial annual returns and renewals.
  5. Conduct electronic filings in accordance with corporate transparency regulations.
  6. Maintain corporate databases and manage records with precision.
  7. Engage with corporate clients and contribute to special projects as needed.
  8. Offer ongoing mentorship to junior paralegals and fulfill additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of 10 years of experience within a Corporate Services Department.
  2. Bilingual drafting proficiency in French and English.
  3. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  4. A college diploma in Paralegal Technology or an equivalent qualification.
  5. A thorough understanding of legal procedures, statutes, and regulations in commercial and corporate law.
  6. An unwavering commitment to accuracy, detail, and efficient time management.
  7. The ability to interact with clients directly and build professional relationships.
  8. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
