Low Voltage Technician

GESS Security is seeking an experienced low voltage security technician to join our team. We work with clients in Greater Vancouver and the Tri-Cities, with occasional out of town jobs. Responsibilities:

• Installation, programming, and maintenance/servicing of low voltage wiring
• Security cameras
• Alarm systems
• Access control systems
• Systems networking
• Intercoms
• Data/communication
• Service calls
• Site assessments
• Phone support

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors, on rooftops, ladders, in attics and crawlspaces, and construction sites with PPE
• Attention to detail
• Troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to keep learning
• Independent and honest
• Ability to take direction and function in a team environment or work alone
• Class 5 driver's license
• Trades Qualified (TQ) – OR – Security Alarm Installer License
• Motivated to continue education in learning new products
• Low voltage electrical tools and safety gear (i.e., steel toe boots)
• Flexibility to work after-hours and out of town on occasion, as required
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong command of English, verbal and written
• Excellent documentation skills
• Experience and certification in the following would be an asset: ICT, Salto, Genetec, Bosch Alarm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $41,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
