Position Overview: The Asset Protection Specialist (APS) is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, organized retail crime and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). The APS will drive execution of the Company’s internal and external theft and fraud strategy and utilize several tools to minimize loss to the Company. The APS must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to and support key AP and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports: Reports to Asset Protection Supervisor or District Asset Protection Manager.
Travel Requirements: Some Travel Required.
Physical Requirements: May involve bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving merchandise and tools, climbing a ladder. Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the store locations. May involve quickly responding to public address system announcements, including customer service calls, pages, and general information. Moving around the store and being able to communicate with and assist associates & customers. Operating a computer and other technology.
Hybrid Work: Multisite or location dependent.
Working Conditions: Working within a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy. Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Years of Work Experience: 1+ year(s) experience as a retail-related Loss Prevention Investigator (or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum Leadership Experience: NA.
Certifications: Where applicable, Asset Protection associates are required to maintain a valid and up-to-date security guard license and/or private investigator license.
Other Requirements/Assets: Must have access to a vehicle. May be required to travel to various stores in the market area. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
