Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Tasks:

1. Mountain driving expertise
2. Owner-operator business skills
3. Professionalism in customer service
4. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
5. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
6. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
7. Load and unload goods
8. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
9. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
10. Perform brake adjustments
11. Perform emergency roadside repairs
12. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
13. Perform preventive maintenance
14. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
15. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
16. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
17. Transport and handle dangerous goods

Documentation knowledge:

1. Driver logbook
2. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
