Long Haul Class 1 Drivers for Moving Company

Locations: Yellowknife, NT

Compensation: $40 an hour

Requirements:

1. At least 2 years experience driving Tractor and Trailer Combination vehicles
2. At least 2 years experience in Truck and Trailer general repairs and preventative maintenance
3. Valid Class 1 Drivers License or equivalent
4. Willingness to travel for extended periods
5. Steel-toed safety boots, cellular phone, security and safety clearance, criminal record check, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract)
6. Complete inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), driver logbooks, bill of lading, accident or incident reports, trip reports, maintenance and repair reports

Job Title and Description:

The driver will be expected to perform the following:

1. Learn all aspects of furniture moving/delivery operations including driving
2. Become familiar with all household moving techniques (training will be provided)
3. Physically and mentally able to lift 40 lbs boxes
4. Courteous and professional interaction with customers and warehouse staff
5. Discuss issues or concerns and take needed action to improve performance
6. Promote Best Movers in the community by seeking and fostering relationships with current and potential clients, organizations, businesses, partnerships, and affiliates
7. Maintain clean uniforms, tools, supplies, etc.
8. Complete reporting and tracking documents
