Position Overview
As a Logistics Coordinator at Zinco Transport Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of shipments, managing freight schedules, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will collaborate closely with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and vendors to guarantee the smooth flow of operations while maximizing efficiency and reducing costs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipment Coordination: Plan, schedule, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery while meeting customer requirements.
2. Driver Coordination: Communicate with drivers regarding pick-up and delivery times, routes, and any changes in schedules.
3. Freight Management: Optimize truckloads and routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
4. Problem-solving: Address any logistics issues such as delays, route changes, or unforeseen obstacles in real-time to ensure timely deliveries.
5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipment details, delivery confirmations, and driver logs.
6. Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing updates on delivery status, resolving concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including hours-of-service, safety protocols, and permit requirements.
8. Inventory Management: Coordinate with warehouses and customers to ensure inventory levels are maintained and shipments are scheduled appropriately.
9. Safety & Efficiency: Promote a culture of safety and efficiency, ensuring that all drivers follow company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher, or in a similar role in the transportation industry.
2. Strong understanding of trucking operations, freight logistics, and routing.
3. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, clients, and team members.
5. Proficiency with logistics software, route planning tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling challenges professionally.
7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience working in the trucking or transportation industry.
2. Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. regulations for freight and trucking.
3. Experience with fleet management or transportation management systems (TMS).

Salary – $25 – $27 per hour
