Logistics Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics Specialist located in St Jerome, Quebec, Canada. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for connecting businesses with top-tier carriers and logistics partners, streamlining their supply chains, and ensuring smooth logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Sales and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of 3PL logistics, freight shipping, and supply chain management
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Experience in the logistics industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL
• Source carriers
• Respond to spot quotes and customer requests within the expected timeline
• Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues
• Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships
• Understand and utilize RMIS to its full potential
• Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Collaborate with co-workers to provide solutions to customers
• Organize and sort through email inbox to ensure all coworkers have visibility to the appropriate emails
• Transition spot quote customers into dedicated customers
• Improve on win % on a daily basis
• Follow up with customers for additional lanes
• Identify areas of weakness, problem solve with the team to correct
• Learn new software like Load link, RMIS, UFOS, PC miler, lean source, TMS system, and UFOS
• Present new ideas and implement them for Elite's maximum profitability

• Logistics: 3 years (required)
