Wage: $25.83 - $26.66

Working as a collaborative team member, the Logistics and Nutrition Assistant performs various duties including food and nutrition preparation, delivery, cleaning and sanitation processes; portering patients/clients/equipment/supplies; and providing transportation services for outpatients/clients.

Skills And Qualifications Required

  1. Minimum of Ontario Secondary School Grade 12 equivalency
  2. Completion of the requirements for the National Food Safety Training Certificate Program
  3. Six months’ work experience in an institutional food services environment, preferred
  4. Experience working with HACCP guidelines, preferred
  5. Valid Ontario driver’s license Class G, and clear driver’s abstract
  6. Class F, preferred
  7. Experience using computerized systems

Position Responsibilities

  1. Delivering food and supplies to dining room beltline, inpatient units
  2. Setting up trays and serving therapeutic meals in approved portions on a tray line and dining rooms to patients/clients
  3. Using electronic tablet to obtain patient/client menu orders, likes and dislikes
  4. Completing ware washing task in both pot and dish room areas
  5. Cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment, work surfaces, delivery carts or denest, dining tables, storage areas and pot areas
  6. Completing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Temperature procedure guidelines at every meal and completing related documentation
  7. Performing cleaning daily tasks that are assigned to each area including completing related sign-off
  8. Drives community clients to community appointments, as assigned, and temporarily until client independence with community travel is consolidated as per client service plan
  9. F licensed drivers will drive community clients using Providence Care accessible bus or 12 passenger van
