This is a Yellowknife based position, at DMS our Logistic Coordinators are the main contacts to each Client they are assigned. They provide all organizing of supplies, services, logistics, resupplies and transportation to the projects. The Logistics Coordinators direct Runners / Drivers assisting them in these duties as needed within the DMS group. Like all other DMS employees they will assist in downtimes with other tasks and the general maintenance of items from the DMS Camp Operation.

Qualified applicants should be in good health with the ability for physical labour and the attitude to work outdoors at remote sites in all seasons.

Duties and Requirements:

A DMS Logistics Coordinator must be able to do the following:

- Follow all DMS and clients Safety & Environmental Policies and Directives.

- Work in a team environment.

- Effectively communicate with Clients to ensure their requirements are met.

- Work with minimum supervision.

- Stay organized when doing multiple tasks and meeting required timelines / deadlines.

- Organize the logistics, passenger movements, and assist in the loading and offloading of aircrafts, truck, and boats for Clients.

- Make purchases, arrange deliveries / pick-ups, and organize the Clients contractors to ensure items and people are where they need to be for transport or local Client’s needs.

- Correctly process & handle the dispersal of returning items from Clients projects.

- Prepare hazardous material (dangerous goods) to meet regulatory requirements for shipping.

- Do basic functions in email, word processing, and spreadsheets programs.

- Hold a valid class 5 license and be able to operate vehicles in this class up to an F-350 or equivalent.

- Work outside normal hours and some weekends as required.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
