Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary
Located 10km north of Saskatoon, Northern Farm Foods Ltd is a producer-owned Non-GMO Canola processing facility. We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Northern Farm Foods is expanding and looking for a person who would like to join our team and help build our company, enjoying a friendly work environment with room for personal growth.

Duties:

1. Responsible for coordinating and scheduling inbound seed trucks, outbound canola meal trucks, and oil railcars.
2. Communicate with farmers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely inbound and outbound trucks.
3. Negotiate freight rates with truck companies.
4. Calculate and monitor the best rail rates to US and Canadian destinations.
5. Communicate with various departments within the organization to ensure production is uninterrupted with smooth inflow and outflow of oil, meal, and canola seed.

Requirements:

1. The ideal applicant will have experience as a logistics coordinator; an agriculture background is an asset.
2. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work while exercising initiative to ensure an efficient and quality level of service.
3. Ability to work with little supervision, manage multiple processes, and multitask.
4. Good team player.
5. Good computer skills are a must, with experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
