Reporting to the Production Planning and Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for logistics, inventory, and shipping at our Kitchener location.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Track incoming merchandise from our suppliers and verify delivery and storage;
  • Enter data in the system, adjust inventory quantities, and print inventory tags accordingly; attach tags to all incoming bundles;
  • Participate in the count of all inventory items;
  • Create sales orders, BOL's, and prepare shipping packages and documents for next-day deliveries;
  • Coordinate activities of drivers and maintenance workers when reviewing repairs needed for trailers;
  • Call customers for confirmation of next-day deliveries and when pick-up orders are ready;
  • Update status of load sheets with confirmed and rescheduled deliveries;
  • Populate and maintain accuracy of the Dispatch Schedule and assigned trailers;
  • Prepare documents, serve customers, and contact yard staff for order pickups;
  • Send emails for confirmed or pushed loads to PM and document all communication in LSS;
  • Manage and maintain Delivery sheets;
  • Monitor loaded trailers;
  • Assist and resolve issues with drivers;
  • Generate and maintain accuracy of various reports for the department;
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a logistics position;
  • A diploma in logistics or a related field preferred;
  • Experience in similar industries (manufacturing/construction);
  • Solutions-oriented and able to provide exceptional customer service;
  • Experience with Sage/ASA is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Excel and able to work in a Google environment;
  • Multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure.
