Job Description:

1. Prepare and cook food as instructed by the chef;
2. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
3. Supervise kitchen helpers;
4. Oversee kitchen operations;
5. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
6. Clean kitchen and work areas;
7. May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
8. May hire and train kitchen staff.
