Your Opportunity:
Are you tired of the long commute and traffic and looking for a simpler and quieter way of life? The Licensed Practical Nurse works as a member of a health care team, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of patients/clients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. The Town of Hinton in northwest Alberta, with its stunning view of the Rockies, is located about 284 kms west of Edmonton - close enough to visit friends and family on the weekends and holidays! You are also only 15 minutes from Jasper National Park and an hour from the Town of Jasper – perfect for that day trip! Besides the national park, you can also take in the natural beauty of one of provincial parks just minutes away. In town, you’ll find public and Catholic K-12 schools offering instruction in English and French, and arts, sports, cultural, and social activities across a wide spectrum. Here, you can truly get to know your neighbors and community, making Hinton a perfect place to call home. AHS is proud to be part of Canada’s first, and largest fully integrated provincial healthcare system, serving over 4.4 million Albertans.
