Summary
The Legal Recruiting Specialist will join a supportive and collaborative Legal Recruiting team in Sidley’s New York office. The specialist will be responsible for supporting the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager with a primary focus on the summer associate program. They will focus on the planning and execution of the New York summer associate program and provide support to the firm’s 1L, 2L, and 3L recruiting efforts, including law school engagement initiatives for the New York office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general support to the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager
- Coordinate and plan all aspects of the summer associate program (calendar, budget, events, trainings, mentor assignments, assignments, reviews, etc.)
- Maintain accurate files related to the summer associate program
- Oversee all aspects of summer associate onboarding
- Plan summer associate orientation
- Attend summer associate programs and events as required
- Monitor summer associate work assignment board
- Schedule and coordinate the mid- and end-of-summer review process
- Serve as a firm ambassador
- Maintain LawCruit database with accurate and complete records
- Provide support to the 1L and 2L hiring process
- Provide support for 1L events and sponsorship opportunities
- Assist with Fall Associate onboarding and orientation as necessary
- Must be willing to work overtime as requested, particularly in the months of May through August
- Work collaboratively across the team and other departments of the firm
- Perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates
Target Salary Range
$91,000 - $112,000 if located in New York

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Four years of legal recruiting experience
- Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, and be proactive
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Law firm or professional services experience
