What is the opportunity?

WMC Training & Development is dedicated to empowering team members and fostering a culture of continuous growth and innovation. We’re looking for a passionate Learning & Development Specialist to join our team and help us design, implement and manage impactful learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will join our diverse, nation-wide team, and play a key role in providing in-depth training to employees of PH&N Investment Counsel.

Please note, although we are ideally seeking a candidate in the greater Toronto area, we are open to applications from across Canada.

What will you do?

1. Design and deliver customized virtual and in-person training to newly hired IC team members.
2. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make improvements as needed.
3. Provide subject matter expertise in the development of training resource materials, and other necessary training items as required.
4. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative learning technologies to enhance our offerings.
5. Provide additional administrative support to the Manager, as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

1. In-depth knowledge and understanding of PH&N IC, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a front office role.
2. Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
3. Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
4. Strong organizational and project management skills.
5. Self-motivated, and able to work independently, as well as a part of a team.
6. Able to work from a home office, as well as travel across Canada when required.

Nice-to-have:

1. Post-secondary education.
2. French language skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
3. Experience in a training capacity, along with strong problem-solving skills.
