The Saskatchewan Coroners Service (SCS) in the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General is responsible for the investigation of all sudden, unexpected and unnatural deaths in the province and manages 26 staff and approximately 80 coroners in conducting and supporting these investigations.
The Coroners Service is seeking a skilled, energetic and results-oriented professional to join a dynamic team as a Learning and Development Coordinator. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Coroner, the position will provide leadership and management in relation to the development and delivery of an education and training strategy for staff, coroners, students and stakeholders that is aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the SCS.

In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills to plan, develop, evaluate learning materials and facilitate learning sessions. You will be able to accurately identify relevant learning needs, issues, concerns or problems, generate various options and alternatives, and determine and implement an appropriate course of action to meet the learning needs of the organization. You will also have the ability to accurately interpret and apply relevant acts and maintain a thorough understanding of policy and program initiatives that may impact learning and development programs.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a degree in education and a certificate, diploma or degree in Adult Education, coupled with a degree in Human Services, Social Services or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
