About The Role
The Leadership and Team Learning Design & Development lead is responsible for leading the design & development of leadership and team skill development in alignment with enterprise strategy to differentiate on leadership and develop high performing teams. Leads the development of teaming programs and tools to equip leaders with the skills to mobilize teams across the enterprise and foster high-performing team environments. The program will focus on enhancing teaming skills and building a strong foundation of shared mission, alignment, psychological safety, accountability, and commitment, with the goal of improving collaboration, productivity, disciplined innovation and execution.
Please note that this is a temporary opportunity for 12 Months.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate between various learning groups, AOE/SSU leadership teams, and learning academies to build enterprise programs that have value and can be translated to domain needs.
- Coordinate with various domain groups to achieve enterprise program development goals.
- Integrate with leadership strategy and performance skills on dimensions, practices and competencies.
- Plan for short-term program design needs with long-term sustainment in mind.
- Present, facilitate and coach teams to translate enterprise learning and team effectiveness journeys to strengthen performance.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues and peers on cross-functional project teams to deliver the work.
- Develop a high-quality enterprise program that builds on the expectations of quality and learning experience to date.
- Stay up to date on leading thought leadership and current trends to evolve programs and develop new ones.
- Facilitation of leadership and team effectiveness programs for various levels of leaders and teams across the organization.
Skills, Experience & Requirements- Use of storytelling and communication skills to galvanize project team members and stakeholders around the vision and purpose of leadership programs.
- Strong facilitator with background in designing and executing workshops for leadership groups.
- Ability to lead and influence teams in large matrixed organizations (without formal authority).
- Strong business acumen and an ability to think strategically and at a systems level.
- Excellent communicator with ability to express complex ideas at varying levels of abstraction through written and verbal channels.
- Excellent priority management with capability to manage multiple initiatives and daily activity to best meet the needs of team members, internal and external partners.
- Advanced problem solving skills and ability to take initiative to find and execute innovative solutions.
- Bring breadth of organizational development expertise, using trends and knowledge to encourage thinking beyond current state.
- Builds upon, measures and continuously improves upon processes and procedures in leadership learning.
- Sought after to provide best practice advice and recommendations to leadership regarding learning practices.
Knowledge Level & Accreditation Required- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Organizational Behaviour, Finance or related field; Masters degree or demonstration of ongoing professional development preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate learning and development.
- Strong knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models, and delivery methods.
- Certification in Executive Coaching strongly preferred.
