What are your contributions to the team?

As a Manager, Material Logistics, reporting to the Director, Material Logistics, you will be responsible to supervise and manage a team, resolve shortages, ensure production visibility, manage budgets and quality, plan daily operations, analyze productivity and safety, resolve issues, maintain inter-departmental communication, ensure continuous improvement, train and evaluate employees, promote teamwork, uphold Bombardier's values, and coach team development.

• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 10 employees.
• Monitor the purchased and manufactured shortages and resolving them with the Internal Logistics and Suppliers team.
• Ensure visibility to the production team on the resolution of shortages.
• Manage the budgets of your group and ensure the quality of the product.
• Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.
• Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
• Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector.
• Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
• Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
• Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
• Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier.
• Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.

How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in administration, Operations Management or five (5) years of relevant experience in Logistics.
• You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
• You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
• You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
• You are motivated by a stimulating and fast changing environment.
• You are proficient in French (bilingualism a major asset).
