Location: Montreal, QC, Canada (Onsite)
Branch: Airports Canada & CX Strategy
Category: Unionized (IAMAW)
Salary: $30.25 per hour (with a 5-step progression to $33.63 per hour) with overtime opportunities as provided for in our collective agreement.
Shift premiums: Afternoon - $0.50 for each hour worked between 18:00 and 23:00. Midnight - $1.00 for each hour worked between 23:00 and 6:00.

What your day-to-day looks like:
As a Lead Ramp Agent (Lead Station Attendant), you will be managing baggage and freight, plus operating a variety of equipment. You are a working member of the team and will provide guidance, coaching and assistance to Ramp Agents (Station Attendants), so that company standards are met and consistently applied to ensure safety and optimal customer service, as well as on-time performance. You will also be:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient on-loading and off-loading of cargo and customer baggage.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate crew for all operational flight activities with all stakeholders.
  • Marshalling or towing aircraft to gate positions for customer boarding and deplaning.
  • Driving and operating aircraft servicing vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with established corporate uniform and safety equipment standards.

Qualifications
Job requirements:
Previous experience is required as a Lead Ramp Agent (Lead Station Attendant) due to our comprehensive training program this is a role that carries a great deal of responsibility. At our workplace, teamwork is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our fleet. This physically demanding role involves active movement both on the airside and in the baggage room. Since our operations run year-round, you must be ready to work in all weather conditions.
To join us, you must have:
  • Lead Station Attendant or supervisory experience with an airport ground operation.
  • Strong leadership qualities and communication skills to delegate and carry out time critical decisions.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, ability to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on-time performance while ensuring Safety First and Always.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • A valid driver's license - driving heavy equipment on the airside will be required.
  • Ability to lift 70lbs repetitively.
  • To pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test.
  • Availability to attend and successfully pass an eight (8) to ten (10) weeks full-time paid training program.
  • Availability to work rotating shift patterns over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Please refer to Transport Canada site for more details.
