Job Summary

The Lead Project Manager will play a key role in managing large-scale projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving successful project delivery. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a proven ability to manage complex logistics, operational, and technology-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects aligned with business objectives.
2. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
3. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
4. Supervise and mentor project managers and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
5. Assign responsibilities and ensure teams are equipped to meet project goals.
6. Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address challenges.
7. Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.
8. Provide clear and timely communication of project updates, risks, and changes.
9. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives.
10. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
11. Proactively address issues to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
12. Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
13. Review and approve budget adjustments and resource reallocations as needed.
14. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
15. Develop and present detailed project reports, including performance metrics and lessons learned.
16. Identify opportunities to enhance project workflows and implement best practices.
17. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project management processes.

Qualifications

1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an asset.
2. Experience : 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven success in managing large-scale logistics, operational, or IT projects.
4. Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira). Familiarity with logistics, transportation, or supply chain management systems. Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
5. Soft Skills : Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master).
2. Experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
3. Expertise in change management and process optimization.
