ProAll International Manufacturing Ltd., a Terex Brand, located in Olds, AB (approximately 45 minutes south of Red Deer), is seeking a Paint Technician Lead Hand that reports to the Paint Supervisor. This position will be responsible for helping to lead a team of paint technicians in the preparation and application of powder coating to various mechanical parts. This position will help ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Qualifications:
- Start to finish experience in powder coating and/or sandblasting processes in a similar role
- Proven leadership experience in previous roles an asset
- Intermediate computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude / abilities
- Time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Willing to learn how to lead and mentor staff in a supportive coaching style
- Problem-solving skills and strong work ethic

- Physically fit
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Assist with leading, mentoring, and training a team of paint technicians
- Assist the Paint Supervisor in developing and implementing painting procedures
- Serve as the acting Paint Supervisor in their absence
- Report team performance and progress to the Paint Supervisor
- Report safety incidents and near-misses to the Paint Supervisor
- Ensure parts are painted properly, according to client specifications and meeting all quality standards
- Understand parts list and determine if all parts are present
- Work collaboratively with production and supply chain to order parts and maintain inventory
- Interpret work orders, drawings, and complete all documentation accurately
- Load and hang parts correctly for maximum capacity
- Pre-treat, mask, and powder coat a variety of parts as required
- Sand or correct parts as needed
- Assist in the wash bay as needed
- Use tools and material appropriately
- Ensure quality work is done in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow up with supervisors to communicate status of equipment being worked on
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work-related processes
- Cross-train and assist in cross-training others within the sandblasting bay, providing backup when needed
- Operate sandblasting equipment, including air compressors, blast pots, and blasting nozzles
- Evaluate surfaces to determine the appropriate blasting techniques and materials required for effective powder-coat adhesion
- Safely handle and maintain abrasive materials such as sand, grit, or shot, ensuring they meet the required specifications
- Follow project specifications and guidelines to achieve desired surface profiles and cleanliness levels
- Clean and maintain sandblasting equipment and tools
- Conduct computer tasks across multiple software systems (Syspro, Microsoft Office, Asana)
- Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S principles
- Foster a workplace culture that values diversity, promotes equity, and ensures inclusion

- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Wear all proper PPE, follow all safety policies, and lead with integrity
