Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, logical, detail-oriented, and agile individual to join our team as a Lead Emergency Management Advisor (LEMA). As a member of the Horizon Emergency Management Team, the Lead Emergency Management Advisor (LEMA) is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing a comprehensive program to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies that may affect the delivery of health care within Horizon Health Network.
The LEMA reports to the Regional Director, Emergency Management (Chief Emergency Management Officer) for Horizon.

Who you are
You have worked in Emergency Management and Business Continuity or Continuity of Operations (COOP), ideally in a healthcare setting for a minimum of five (5) years. You have good operational knowledge of Chemical, Biological, Radiological / Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNe) preparedness and response in a healthcare setting, Incident Management, and a minimum of Incident Command System 200, leadership role or participation in a multidisciplinary Emergency Coordination Center with Senior and / or Executive Leaders. You have demonstrated excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communications skills, advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Requires on-call and possible return to work to respond to emergencies. Able to attend meetings / events and travel throughout Horizon Health Network, as required.
A university degree in Emergency Management or an affiliated discipline; an equivalent combination of formal training and experience may be considered.
Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation or attainment of designation within 3 years of hire. For candidates with an equivalent combination of formal training and experience: Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) designation or attainment of designation within 3 years of hire.
Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP) designation or attainment of designation within 3 years of hire.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
