Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, Project Manager.

The purpose of this job is to serve as a Project Manager assisting the Service Center Project Manager for IT infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare effort estimate, define scope, cost and schedule.
2. Coordinate and track hardware/software procurement and delivery.
3. Ensure process adherence for all phases of a project.
4. Prepare project plans.
5. Host project status meetings.
6. Track and follow up on pending action items.
7. Keep meeting minutes.
8. Coordinate with all stakeholders (internal and external) of a project.
9. Prepare BCP Plans and conduct BCP/DR drills activities.
10. Manage multiple projects.
11. Manage large implementation teams.
12. Prepare and review implementation plans.
13. Ensure project performance expectations are met with service levels and quality.
14. Monitor and track project provisioning and actual efforts.
15. Raise/escalate any issues and risks to all stakeholders and leadership for any impact on projects.
16. Provide necessary communication and progress updates to all stakeholders on critical projects.
17. Prepare project dashboards.
18. Understand business requirements and design solutions accordingly.
19. Maintain all project documentation.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

1. Graduate or postgraduate in Technology with Computers or Information Technology (IT) stream.
2. A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

1. Project management.
2. Capabilities to manage an implementation team.
3. Organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills.
4. Understanding of the latest technology stack and IT landscape.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Capability to drive projects.
7. Effort estimation and scheduling for projects.
8. Put together implementation plans for project activities.
9. Must have good analytical skills.
10. High energy, self-starter, results driven, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills.
11. Should be a team player.
12. Able to work under minimal supervision.
13. Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting.
14. Technical and system expertise in relevant IT workstreams.

Preferred/Desired Skills

1. Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2).
2. General knowledge of IT infrastructure (OS, Database, Middleware, Storage, Hardware, Networks, Scheduling and Monitoring Tools, File transfer tools, Remote access, IT security, Virtualization).
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Advanced troubleshooting, including the ability to delve into more complex issues, which require a deeper understanding of systems and applications.
5. Collaboration with L1 Support to provide guidance and share insights for ongoing issue resolution.
6. Escalation to L3 Support in a timely manner when challenges require an even higher level of expertise and/or experience.
7. Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders in the implementation of new functionality and solving problems.
